Buffalo, NY — The National Association for Health & Fitness (NAHF) recently named two Vermonters to its leadership committee.

Michael Feulner of Duxbury, Vice Chair of the Vermont Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, was elected Vice President of the NAHF. He has been involved in initiatives to promote physical fitness in Vermont, most notably as director of The Vermont Corporate Cup Challenge and State Agency Road Race, an annual fun run/walk that attracts over 1700 Vermonters.

Marge Bowin of Burlington, another member of the Vermont Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, was elected an At-Large Member of the Board of Directors. Bowin is treasurer of the Vermont Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and serves as chair of the Council's Get Moving Vermont Committee. The two Vermonters join Phil Haberstro (President) and Jacqui Shumway (Secretary) in NAHF leadership posts. The NAHF Board of Directors includes representation from nine (9) states across America.

The National Association for Health & Fitness was founded in 1977 "to improve the quality of life for individuals in the United States through the promotion of physical fitness, sports and healthy lifestyles by fostering and supporting Governor's and State Councils on physical fitness and sports in every state and U.S. territory".
